- Step 1:First, connect the coaxial cable to the wall outlet to get the Internet.
- Step 2:If you have a DSL modem, you have to connect the telephone line cord to the wall port.
- Step 3:Once you have connected the coaxial cable to the wall outlet, plug the other end into your modem's rear port.
- Step 4:Once connected, you will receive the Internet through a modem.
- Step 5:Connect the modem's power cord to an electrical outlet and turn it on.
- Step 6:Take an Ethernet cable and plug one end of it into the Ethernet port of your modem.
- Step 7:Next, connect the other end to the router's WAN port.
- Step 8:Verify whether you have properly connected the Ethernet and coaxial cables to the devices.
- Step 9:Now, connect the router's power cord to an electrical outlet and power it on.
- Step 10:Wait until the router's power LED turns solid green or white.
- Step 11:Check if it is receiving the Internet signals by looking at the Internet LED on the router.
- Step 12:Once verified, connect your computer or mobile to the wireless router using the WPS configuration or cable setup using the second Ethernet cable.
- Step 13:Access the router's administrative interface by entering the router's IP address in the browser's address bar.
- Step 14:Enter the router's login credentials.
- Step 15:If you have not changed the default credentials, enter them in the required fields and click the Sign In button.
- Step 16:Configure the wireless settings and change the encryption key (if necessary).
- Step 17:Finally, click the Save button to save the configured settings. Now your Cable modem to wireless router setup is completed.
