CHANGE DNS ON NETGEAR ROUTER

The instructions to change DNS on Netgear router are provided on our web page.

Step 1 - Logging into the web-interface setup page of the Netgear router

  • Step 1:Launch any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox on your computer
  • Step 2:The default IP address of the Netgear router is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
  • Step 3:Enter the Netgear router’s default IP address in the address column.
  • Step 4:Type the username and password for authentication in the User Name and Password fields and click the Log In button to change DNS on Netgear router.
  • Step 5:Note: For most of the Netgear router, the default username and password are admin.
  • Step 6:This will open the web-interface of the Netgear router on the screen.

Step 2 - DNS settings

  • Step 1:Select the Basic Settings option on the left panel. Navigate to the Domain Name Server (DNS) Address section.
  • Step 2:Select the radio button next to the ‘Use these DNS servers’ option.
  • Step 3:Provide the correct information in the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS fields.
  • Step 4:Click the Apply button and wait until the to change DNS on Netgear router you have made on the web-interface setup page of the Netgear router are saved.
