- Step 1:First, connect your router and the computer using a standard Ethernet cable.
- Step 2:You can also connect them wirelessly using the Wi-Fi network credentials.
- Step 3:Ensure that the Internet connection for the router is properly set and the Wireless LED is glowing solid.
- Step 4:On your computer, open the default browser and enter the router’s IP address in the URL field.

- Step 7:Alternatively, you can identify it from your computer. For the Windows computers, click the Start menu and type ‘cmd’ in the search panel.
- Step 8:From the search result, give a right-click on the Command Prompt app and select the Run as administrator option.
- Step 9:In the Command Prompt window, type ‘ipconfig’ and press the Enter key.
- Step 10:Scroll down the page to the Default Gateway section and note down the router’s IP address.
- Step 11:For Macintosh users, click the Apple menu and select the System Preferences option.
- Step 12:Click the Network icon and select the Advanced tab at the bottom-right corner of the Network window.
- Step 13:Click the Router tab and identify your router’s IP address.
- Step 14:Once you have opened the router’s login portal, enter your login credentials (username & password) to access the router’s settings page.
- Step 15:Click the Wireless tab and locate the MAC Filtering option.
- Step 16:Select Allow and click the Add button to enter the MAC address you wish to add to your wireless network.
