- Step 1 :First, turn on your ZTE router after connecting it to an electrical outlet using the power adapter.
- Step 2 :Turn on your computer as well as the modem.
- Step 3 :Connect the ZTE router to the ADSL modem to get the Internet connection.
- Step 4 :Once the power light glows steadily on the ZTE router, connect it to the computer using a standard Ethernet cable.
- Step 5 :If you are using the Windows desktop, then click the Start menu and type “cmd” in the search panel.
- Step 6 :Give a double-click on the Command Prompt app from the search result and select Run as administrator.
- Step 7 :Once the Command Prompt app is launched, type the “ipconfig” command and press the Enter key.
- Step 8 :Scroll down the page to the Default Gateway section and note down the IP address of the connected ZTE router.
- Step 9 :Next, open the default browser and type the ZTE router’s IP address in the URL field.
- Step 10 :On the ZTE router’s login portal, enter “admin” in the Username and Password fields.
- Step 11 :Click the Login button to navigate to the ZTE router administrative interface to Configure ZTE Router.
- Step 12 :Go to the left-side panel and click the Network tab.
- Step 13 :Configure the WAN settings and provide the necessary details.
- Step 14 :Click the SSID Settings tab from the left-side panel and configure the SSID settings.
- Step 15 :Next, click the Security tab from the left-side panel and enter the desired SSID for the wireless network.
- Step 16 :Create a secure password to avoid unauthorized access to your wireless network.
- Step 17 :If you are using the DNS server, click the LAN tab from the left-side panel and navigate to the DNS section.
- Step 18 :Next, change the DNS Relay to Use User Discovered DNS Server Only.
- Step 19 :Set up the primary and secondary DNS servers.
- Step 20 :After verifying your settings, save the router configuration and click the Logout button.
- Step 21 :Restart your ZTE router and access the ZTE router administrative interface once again to Configure ZTE Router.
- Step 22 :Now, you have to use the updated login credentials to access the ZTE router settings.
