HOW TO CONNECT ROUTER TO COMPUTER

Wired router connection:

Step 1:Connect your modem to the router’s WAN port using an internet cable.

Step 2:Then, link the Ethernet cable from the computer to the LAN port of the router using an Ethernet cable.

Step 3:Connect the power cord to the router (power on the modem if you are using one).

Step 4:Then, check if the computer is connected to the router network.

Wireless router connection:

Step 1:Follow the first step and third step, as mentioned in the Wired router connection.
Step 2:Do not connect the computer with the router using Ethernet cable; instead, configure the router settings on the computer browser.
Step 3:Then use the WiFi network name and password to access the WiFi connection.

How to connect one printer to two computers with router

Step 1:Before connecting the printer to the computer, make sure that the computer is connected to the WiFi network.
Step 2:On a computer, search for devices and printers in the search bar.
Step 3:Open the Devices Printers, right-click on the printer you want to connect
Step 4:Choose the Properties from the list.
Step 5:Select the Sharing tab, check the option Share this printer.
Step 6:Then,apply the settings.
Step 7:Next, open the other computer and type the network location where the printer is shared on the search bar.
Step 8:Now, the network location window opens, right-click on the printer and select connect.
Step 9:This will install the printer to this computer, check the Devices printers to see the newly added printer.

Step 1:Connect the modem to the WiFi router using a LAN cable.
Step 2:Then plug in the internet cable to the modem.
Step 3:Plug the power cables to the modem and to the WiFi router.
Step 4:Switch on the modem and the WiFi router.
Step 5:Get to know the network SSID and password.
Step 6:Now, on the computer and check for the WiFi network suggestion.
Step 7:Click on your network name and enter the network password to use the WiFi network.

Step 1:Switch off the power for the modem.
Step 2:Plug the Ethernet cable from your computer to the LAN port on the router.
Step 3:Connect a cable from the internet port on the router to the modem.
Step 4:Now, power on both the router and modem and wait for the connection to establish.
Step 5:From your computer, open the browser and enter the router IP address.
Step 6:The D-Link Setup Wizard page opens, go ahead login to the D-Link account.
Step 7:In the Setup page, select the Setup tab.
Step 8:Click on Manual to change the settings manually.
Step 9:Enter the details for the WAN connection and save the settings.
Step 10:Click on the Wireless tab to perform the wireless network settings. Like Network name, password, and network security options.
Step 11:After saving the settings for the wireless network, unplug the LAN connection on the router to the computer.

You can search the wireless network on your computer and enter the password to access the WiFi network.
