Wi-Fi Router Dsl Light Flashing

In general, the DSL light in the Wi-Fi router flashes for thirty seconds to connect the DSL modem appropriately.

If the DSL light flashes continuously for a long time, then follow these steps to resolve the problem:

  • Step 1:Restart the Wi-Fi router and check whether the problem persists or not.
  • Step 2:If the DSL flashes continuously, check if there is any cut-off in phone cable and modem cable connectivity.
  • Step 3:If you find any damage in the connectivity, replace the cable or report the problem to your Internet Service Provider(ISP).
  • Step 4:Remove the existing connection and try connecting the cables to a different electrical outlet because there might be a fault inside your wall outlet.
  • Step 5:Also, check the Splitter connection that distributes the link from the Wi-Fi router.
  • Step 6:It is suggested to reduce the splitters because this might increase the problem by interfacing the DSL signal.
  • Step 7:Make sure to keep your main socket away from the direct sunlight and snowfall.
  • Step 8:If it is exposed directly to the sunlight or snowfall, you will get an electronic noise that indicates interrupted connections.
  • Step 9:Also, check if all the devices such as satellite receivers, fax machines, and alarm systems are connected appropriately to the phone line using the DSL filter.
  • Step 10:Check the dialing tone of the telephone line that is connected with the DSL modem if you have a line share ADSL.
  • Step 11:Switch off the DSL modem and pay attention to the noise on the line.
  • Step 12:If you receive any static noise during the test, contact your telephone service provider to fix the problem with the telephonic connection.
  • Step 13:If the problem persists, run the modem directly to the Minimum Point of Entry(MPOE) to avoid the issues occurring inside the telephone cables.
  • Step 14:If you still have a problem with resolving the issues, contact our technical support team by clicking the Call button available on this screen.
