Windows Can’t Get The Network Settings From The Router

Consider the step-by-step procedure given below to solve Windows can’t get the network settings from the router and to connect your Windows device to the network router.

  • Step 1:Make sure that your wireless router supports your Windows device. Also, install the proper driver compatible with your device to support the router.
  • Step 2:Reset the active network connection and try connecting to the wireless router again.
  • Step 3:To reset the network settings, open Settings and select the Network & Internet option. Go to Wi-Fi and select the Manage Known networks option. Select the network that you want to reset and click Forget to reset it.
  • Step 4:Turn on Wi-Fi from your device and select your network from the shown list.
  • Step 5:Enter the correct security key of the network to get connected to the wireless router.
